CHARACTERISTICS

This popular range of premium wines honours generations of Nederburg winemakers collaborating with nature to bring you these classically styled, food-friendly wines. This wine displays a noble rot (botrytis) character as it is made from grapes infected by botrytis cinerea, which is dependent on favourable conditions (warm, misty autumn weather). This fungus attacks the skins and withers the berries, evaporating much of the juice, resulting in concentrated sweetness and flavour. Yields of this precious essence are low. A blend of Chenin blanc and Muscat de Frontignan balanced by a good acidity, this sweet dessert wine is excellent as an aperitif with a terrine or pâté, or after a meal with cheese and preserved fruit. The Winemasters ensemble, comprising a top-quality range of varietal offerings, is named to honour the Paarl winery’s long-established tradition of winemaking excellence. These classically styled, food-friendly wines with abundant fruit flavours, elegance and finesse, treasure the integrity of the grapes in every step of the wine-growing and winemaking journey. Every drop demonstrates an unwavering commitment to world-class vineyard and cellar skills. This wine is made from a blend of Chenin blanc (48%), Muscat de Frontignan (30%), Gras? de Cotnari (18%) and Rhine Riesling (4%). Brilliant yellow with a hint of gold colour with Pineapple, tangerine, apricot and dried peach aromas. A subtle balance between acid and sugar with dried fruit, pineapple flavours. Excellent with pâtés, blue cheese, desserts, cakes, pastries and tarts
